The Payne County Audubon Society is holding the 5th annual BIRDLAM competition on April 26, and I would encourage you to register!
Birdlam is Oklahoma’s big day birding event sponsored by the Payne County Audubon Society. Held on the fourth Saturday in April, the aim of Birdlam is to raise funds for Audubon chapters and other bird clubs across the state, increase general awareness of the avifauna diversity within Oklahoma, and … have fun!
We have some new prize categories this year, a great logo for the t-shirt, and the painted bunting is our target species. This has been a very Payne County heavy event in the last few years but we would like to see more birders from across the state compete, and to ramp up the competition.
