For the first time in 7 years, we have some real water at Hackberry Flat. We still need more rain to fill the 6 units ready to accept it but we have water right now in 4 of the 6 units just east of the Meeting Center. Water will begin to be added to the Boardwalk Unit, which are the next two east, on Monday. Movement is slow bc of the lo head pressure at the lake. The lake is still showing no mud but there are lots of shorebirds in the grass around the edges. The goal is to draw water down until mud appears around the lake and to keep drawing the lake down as that mud dries to expose the same width of new mud. That is the play unless it rains big and then it will be to fill the Sandpiper, Brood, Avocet and the Weir units..........here's the survey results.
