Weather: Windy and overcast day. Temperature was decent, but the wind was really gusting the whole time I surveyed. There was about 30 minutes of drizzle around 12:30 p.m. Cloud cover got quite low at times making it hard to spot high flying raptors.
Raptor Observations: Turkey Vultures were the primary migrating raptors today and headed north at fairly regular pace. The two biggest combined flights 67 each were at 11:47 and 1:07. Smattering of other raptors including Red Tails, Coopers Hawks, Osprey, and Red Shouldered Hawk.
Non-raptor Observations: Nothing unexpected bird wise during the survey window. One resident Bald Eagle flying in opposite direction of migration. Several good size 12+ flights of Double Crested Cormorants came through.
Predictions: Weather to be better. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Andrew Gaerte (<andrew.gaerte...>)
