Observation start time: 08:00:00 Observation end time: 13:00:00 Total observation time: 5 hours
Official Counter: Jerry McWilliams
Observers: Bernie O'Connor, Julie Leonard
Visitors: Julie Leonard and Bernie O'Connor were my main observers, also covering the site in my 2-hour absence. Also present for a time was Carol Allen and Ray Sherman. At least four visitors including my wife, Linda, Mark Lethaby, and Tom Zuricky
Weather: Mostly cloudy with a brief drizzle, and mild with strong SSW early then becoming gusty westerly with a temperature drop.
Raptor Observations: TVs pushed through in good numbers and remained fairly low throughout the day with a continued absence of raptors. The flight drifted south with the wind shift at around 1200 EST., so subsequently few birds were seen after that.
Non-raptor Observations: Canada Goose 3, Rock Pigeon 1, Mourning Dove 2, Herring/Ring-billed Gull 25, Double-crested Cormorant 25, Great Blue Heron 3, Northern Flicker 11, American Crow, Tree Swallow 2, European Starling, American Robin, Baltimore Oriole 2, Red-winged Blackbird, Brown-headed Cowbird, Common Grackle
Predictions: Chance of a shower, but much colder with NNE wind. A lake flight not likely.Jerry McWilliamsErie, Erie County, <Pa.jerrymcw...>
