Weather:
Winds varying from 12 to 15 mph as the day progressed. From 11 to
12:45, gusting to 24mph. Wind direction out of east shifting to
ESE. Morning sky 100% haze shifting toward clear blue with cumulus
and blown out clouds. Temperature 45 to 56°F. No precipitation.
Visibility excellent (20km) at ground level throughout the day.

Raptor Observations:
A sparse flight, as is expected with east winds at this site. 11
Turkey vultures, 5 Ospreys, 2 Acciptrines, and 3 Buteos.

Non-raptor Observations:
First Caspian Tern of the season busied itself catching sunfish
from the pond.

Site Description
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake
Bay at the
mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best
winds are
from the southwest.
