High winds with dust filled skies and eyes were the story today. I spent most of the day in Vail as I couldn’t locate the Santa Rita Mountains no matter how hard I scanned south. In the afternoon I decided to make an instrument approach to Tubac. I was buffeted by winds and dust, struggling south on I19.
I found the two HWI counters on duty at Ron Morris Park. They had managed to count a few crazy migrants. They were more than ready to call it a day.
