A couple of remarkable sightings reported on ebird:
Townsend's Warbler at Mason Farm in Chapel Hill - seen this morning - a first for the Triangle area. Not a first for the Piedmont, though, as there was one last month in Charlotte that apparently no observer thought was interesting enough to report to Carolinabirds.
Snail Kite at Andrews, Cherokee County, NC - seen briefly Monday 3/31 and not relocated but it sometimes pays to keep looking up!
