Lesser Yellowlegs (Tringa flavipes) (3)
- Reported Apr 01, 2025 08:29 by Nick & Jane
- Turri Road Tidal Ponds, San Luis Obispo, California
- Map: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&t=p&z=13&<q...>,-120.8218378&<ll...>,-120.8218378 - Checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S222333827 - Comments: "Continuing, and a couple bonus birds that might not have been around originally. I’m only seeing one being reported over the past few days, and don’t see the initial report. Anyway, three seen together foraging in largest pond with mudflats. Notably short bills, compact bodies, slender, and smaller overall than nearby Greater Yellowlegs, including shorter necks. Also, these were streaky in comparison, especially on the throat, breast, flanks—even some barring. One of the Lessers let out a few single-note calls. Photos of all three."
