Visitors: Kate Ebersol shared the beautiful view of the vineyards, Lake Erie and Canada,.
Weather: Cold, 95% cloud cover initially diminishing to 5% by mid afternoon. Moderate NW winds early drifting to NNE by the end of the count. Coulds cleared first along the shoreline and receded south up the escarpment and further inland.
Raptor Observations: Low numbers with TVs meandering all day. A Local mature BE made numerous passes over site #3 where most of the count took place. Some afternoon kettling of TVs developed closer to the lake where heating began the earliest. The count was moved to site #2 the to finish the day. A female local Kestrel hunted the lands around #2 as the count dwindled.
Non-raptor Observations:
Predictions: Rising temperatures throughout the day. Early SE winds, then rain for about an hour around 2pm, followed by strong SW winds.
