Hi All. For the recently completed Año Nuevo CBC, which includes the Pescadero area, we counted 76 Fox Sparrows, which is higher than the previous three years (although perhaps we need to throw out 2022 because the dreadful weather significantly dampened that count). Of those 76 birds, over half were counted at Big Basin. Only 41 Fox Sparrows were counted for the Crystal Springs count, which is the lowest it's been since 1999. I have attached some bar charts for the Año Nuevo and Crystal Springs CBCs showing the raw count of Fox Sparrows for the past thirty years, as well as the number of birds per party hour for the same time span.
