I have been hearing Chipping sparrows for the last few days but only one or two. Today was apparently move-in day for them, because there were dozens of males (I presume), singing from the young trees and shrubs throughout the neighborhood.
Meanwhile, the juncos are singing and being active, and I think they are preparing to move out
