1. The MDC owned and operated pumps with intake at the Missouri River are out of operation. The 1980s pumps are beyond further repair. The contract has been let for the replacements. The contractor has until mid-November to complete the job.
2. Columbia wastewater is anticipated to return to flowing into Eagle Bluffs CA, possibly by mid-April, but more likely it will be May.
3. The wastewater that normally is sent through Eagle Bluffs is being run through the wastewater treatment units as usual, but until repairs to equipment at Wastewater Treatment Unit #3 are complete, the treated wastewater is being diverted into Perche Creek in compliance with DNR permitting.
Side note: The Columbia plant at McBaine is for drinking water supply, not wastewater treatment.
