Very small & slim compared to nearby YRWAs. Bright yellow throat with a distinct black necklace below the throat on upper breast. (reminded me of the necklace on a male magnolia warbler.). However, belly and breast were both white & unmarked; yellow did not extend beyond the throat. Vent & under tail area were white. Did not see if there were wing bars - the bird disappeared among the eucalyptus before I could get a photo or a better look.
If you want to look for this bird, take the path that runs from 30th along a fence to deadend at quartz street. There's a large eucalyptus right where the paths diverge with one path going into Moran Lake Park along the creek and the other going towards 30th. Base of the eucalyptus is covered with lush poison oak. The bird was in that tree on the big limb that hangs over the path. It disappeared into the trees toward the park & I could not refind it.
