Mary joined me this absolutely beautiful day! I didn’t get many species that
I desired. But had fun! In no particular order - common loon off of
Harveysburg rd. Caesar creek. Yea! Finally….not much else there waterfowl wise.
We didn’t get a chance to check Cowan lake - so unable to compare. Osprey back
At Caesar creek. No BW Teal or Shoveler at Spring Valley. Too many boats and
Fisher people? A goal today was the winter sparrows - Fox and WC. Nope….
Still time! Foy cowbird and gnatcatcher for Warren.
We chased a Common loon in Clinton. Nope…. Blanchester reservoir. I didn’t
Realize that was close to the east fork riparian preserve. Clinton. Not much
Today, but I was planning on giving that a lot of coverage starting in May. Neat
Area - under birded. In the middle of nowhere.
Clinton stands at 81 for the big year. Warren is at 89. I wonder when I will reach 100!
Ode notes - green darners everywhere! And all over Ohio from what I am reading!
Butterfly notes - spring azures, cabbage white, orange sulfur. Yea!
Good birding all.
