Raptor Observations:
We recorded 49 migrants today; 29 TV, 4 OS, 2 BE, 5 NH, 1 RS, 5 AK and 3ML.
The TV count was tallied by one observer who concentrated his attention on
their movement over the western marsh and adjacent mainland. The
Red-shoulder was first observed at a distance by another observer who
followed the bird for an extended period until he made the identification
based upon tail length, wing shape and the translucent crescent wing
panels. Both of these observers are long-time birders.

Raptors observed but failed to migrate: 2 Red-tails, 8 or 10 TV, at least 4
NH.

Non-raptor Observations:
Other birds: A single Tree Swallow (first of the year), 4 Ravens, 3 Am
Crows, 1 Great Egret.

Predictions:
Not at all favorable: rain all day with moderate NE and ENE winds.
