Subject: [sbcobirding] Kinevan Road March 27
Sorry for the late post.  Steve Colwell and I walked Kinevan Raod yesterday morning.  There was a lot of singing, but most of the birds were frustratingly hard to see in the tall canopy.  Of note were two Warbling Vireos. Other singing birds included American Robins (one pair seen; probably another male heard): Western Flycatchers (one seen): lots of Singing Purple Finches, House Wrens, Juncos, Oak Titmouse; Acorn, Hairy, and Nuttall's Woodpeckers; a pair of Flickers; a single Hutton's Vireo, and lots of Townsend's Warblers singing to beat the band.
We heard a couple of high-pitched call notes that could have been Brown Creeper; also some sound in brush along the creek that might have been the lingering Pacific Wren, but we did not see either bird.
