Weather:
NW and WNW winds of 10 to 12 mph early on but moderating to 8 mph later in
the watch. Cool at start (2 to 3 deg C) but warming to 6 to 7 deg C for the
last half of the watch. Cloud cover 0% at start but soon increasing and
reaching 95% by close. Visibility 15 K.

Raptor Observations:
We recorded 14 migrants today: 2 Turkey Vultures, 4 Northern Harriers, (3
adult males), 4 American Kestrels (one female), 2 Merlins and 2
Unidentified Raptors

Raptors that were seen but failed to migrate: 1 imm BE, 5 TV and 3 or 4
NH.


Non-raptor Observations:
Other birds: Intermittent flow of Grackles still underway. 1 Bluejay, 1
Fish Crow and the first of small (i.e., warbler size) passerine migrants in
numbers.
Predictions:
Moderate (10 to 14 mph) WSW, W and WNW winds under partly cloudy and mostly
cloudy skies with temps high 30s to low 50s making for promising prospects
for a decent flight.
