Georgia Biders,
For those of you who are newer to birding or us at Birds Georgia, I wanted
to share some information with you regarding our upcoming Bird Fest. Georgia
Bird Fest <https://www.birdsgeorgia.org/birdfest.html> features a month of
activities, running from April 11 - May 16, including guided field trips to
some of Georgia’s best birding hotspots, nature-based workshops, and guest
speakers. We are also hosting our second Bird Fest Summit on April 25 - 26,
with breakout sessions and keynote speakers, hosted on Jekyll Island.
This year's spreaker is the wonderful Janisse Ray <https://janisseray.com/>.
Many trips have filled but there are lots of exciting birding opportunities
with spaces left, including Eufaula NWR, Piedmont NWR for Red-cockaded
Woodpeckers, Heggie's Rock, and I have 1 spot left on a coastal birding
weekend trip that includes a day trip to Little St Simons Island.
Hope to see some of you at one of our bird fest events or out in the field,
enjoying spring migration.
