I was excited to get a county life bird this evening in Cambridge Springs . Two Black Vultures were circling over the water tower. I noticed them first while driving because of their snappy and frequent flaps which are diagnostic by themselves. I did get good looks then to see the short tail and white panels at the end of the wings. There seems to be an influx of them north into Crawford this spring, as Ken Pinnow has reported them twice from Meadville recently. Possibly these are some of the same birds he saw.
