Subject: [CT Birds] Re: mowing vs. Bobolinks and other grassland birds
Hi all,

With the coming of spring, the birding community intends to reach out to CT DEEP very soon, about when fields on state-owned lands are mowed down. Anyone with knowledge of grassland birds under threat on state lands should reply here (but please remember NOT to reply to all).

Also, anyone with knowledge of impacts to, in particular, the state's endangered, threatened and special concern grassland birds, with regard to the mowing of fields, please feel free to weigh in.

Connecticut's list of birds in peril can be found here:
https://portal.ct.gov/deep/endangered-species/endangered-species-listings/endangered-threatened--special-concern-birds

Thanks much,

Micky Komara
