- Comments: "Teeekayyyy! Continuing (possibly). I mean, I think so. Every sighting for quite a while has been in the east lake area, whether in frisbee golf course woodland trees, or along path. This time spotted in tree in east lake near paved path: (35.2608303, -120.6833483). I saw a yellow-bellied kingbird about twelve feet up on foliage, and began inspecting. Seemed different from a Cassin’s or Western—it was eating a bug, and appeared to have a large black bill. Couldn’t quite tell if its back was greenish but soon saw its yellow-green chest and white chin. It flew west along lake about twenty-five yards then landed in shrubs where it perched again. This time I had better views, could really see that large black bill, a tail notch, lemony tum and yellow-green chest. I snuck up closer for some pics. No vocalizations at that time, though I heard a familir trill later while along lake a bit farther west. I didn’t look for it when I heard the call.
