It was absent this morning as well. I was there (bridge on Rock Hole Rd off Hwy M, the original location), for about an hr between 9:30-10:30 with no luck. A couple others had been there since before 8:00 and had not located it. We all left around the same time.
I will try to stop again on my way back home.
I was successful in Jeff City and able to view and photograph one the two chestnut-collared longspurs after departing from the vermillion attempt. Photos will be attached to that submitted checklist. As mentioned in those emails, start on Mokane Rd (4038) and go north a bit onto 4033 and it should be foraging in the road with a dozen or so horned larks in the fields and in road as well.
