Beautiful here in Tallahassee, where I'm sure that peak week for blossoms has sneaked up on us. Bridal wreath is fuller than ever before; white azaleas are completely covered with blossoms; my new pear tree has its first leaves and branches; my lemon tree has more than 45 blossoms started.

While I'm here, I want to encourage all birders to put filtered tap water in their bird baths (which of course are also drinking fountains). I encourage this because of what I read about micro plastics today. Yuck! I wish we could give all birds the pleasure of clean, clean water to drink,
