Based on the frequency of known occurrence over the years and the low probability of detection and distance between sightings, I would put my money on the likelihood that there have been at least 3 different Common Cranes in Nebraska so far this spring. The fact that 3 different Common Cranes have been detected this spring (assuming my assumptions are correct, which is what it is), makes me wonder how many Common Cranes are migrating through Nebraska this spring? 5, 8, 12? The great thing about wild speculation is I can't be proven wrong. Congrats on the relocation originally found by Matt Wieseler.

Common Crane relocated at Clear Creek WMA in Keith county! Found this morning by May y from game and parks. Not sure what's more likely: a 2nd bird, or the same bird traveling 200 miles west, probably the latter.

Another crane, or perhaps the same one, was relocated this afternoon 40 miles west, near Gibbon in Buffalo County.
