I've now seen a RED-breasted Merganser at Silver Lake at least 3 times, the last 2 were yesterday and today. Also present were N. Shovelers. Ruby Crowned Kinglets are getting more vocal, and Hooded and Common Mergansers are, well, quite common.
I've also been seeing a Bufflehead on Quinn's Pond, but not today. The pond at Lander Street has a good variety of ducks: Gadwall, Ring-neck Duck, Wood Duck, A. Wigeon, and Common Goldeneye. (Oh, and Mallards!)
Also, Bewick's Wrens are getting more vocal along the Greenbelt.
