Wahooooooo! Spring is happening!!!

The bluebirds have returned and the female is nesting as of Wednesday. Got my first of the season rough -winged and Barn swallow (Swope park), tree swallow, meadowlark, pipits, fish crow (Swope park) and today first osprey (Blue springs lake)!! The phoebes, wrens, robins, are here. The vultures en masse, eagles been nesting for the past month, massive numbers of cormorants around!!

Loaded some good video of the osprey, a crow hiding, then covering a bread crust (cool video- pulled up grass, then leaves, then grass and was very deliberate covering it), good barred owl, good Flicker foraging, some duckies, etc. to flicker..... 😊 Good birding all!!!

One note- the wetlands in Buckner is completely dry- some sparrows around but no shorebirds, ducks, etc................... ☹
