Subject: [Ohio-birds] Local birding - rain - nothing for me
I only had a few hours this afternoon. And of course the deluge started then….
Oh well! I did car birding for shorebirds, etc. could not track anything down. I
Know they are around! Lots of flooded fields now! Couldn’t track down the
Vesper sparrow at short park either. Remember I was in my car. And pouring
Rain! Decided to hit Seward rd. Ponds for the common loon from yesterday.
Nope. It left. They are migrating now. I am surprised the black scoter we
Had down here lingered a few days. You just never know! That has been a nice
Surprise this past winter. All three scoters in Hamilton county! On the Ohio. My
Home county! All three were county birds for me! I figure the deep freeze
Had stuff heading south. Yea.

Monday and tues are 1/2 days. But I will be up in Clinton and Warren! Working
The flooded farm field areas.

Good birding all.
