Subject: Sunday morning at Hi Lonesome
It was a gorgeous morning out on the prairie. There were sprouts of green
everywhere. The wind was not so fierce as in the previous week, and it was
warmer--55 degrees.

Bird species seen were as follows: Eastern Meadowlark, 6; Turkey Vulture;
Red-winged Blackbird, 2; Tree Sparrow; American Robin, 4; Eastern Phoebe;
American Kestrel; Killdeer, 6; Savannah Sparrow; Tree Swallow, 2; Brewers
Blackbird, 5; European Starling, 1; Northern Flicker 5; Northern Harrier,
1; Eastern Bluebird, 2.

The greening of the prairie really gave me a lift.
