Weather:
Sunny; 39-53 degrees; excellent visibility; winds northwesterly
and very strong, 17-23 mph gusting to 35 mph

Raptor Observations:
The vulture flight was steady all day. Our regular female adult
Cooper's Hawk visited today trying to catch a Song Sparrow. It
seems to fly in stealthily and then suddenly appears close to us.
Three adult Bald Eagles sat in one tree across the pond, two of
them for several hours.

Non-raptor Observations:
We were thanking fellow observer Dan Walker today for the 40 foot
by 5 foot tarp that he has provided us. We attach it to the fence
around the pond a few feet from us and it makes a great wind
barrier.
