Weather: Started out sunny but quickly clouded over. Rain started around noon and lasted until 2:30pm. Rain picked up again after the cold front passed at 3pm.
Raptor Observations: A slow morning with only a few Turkey Vultures meandering around and one Northern Harrier. The rain shut down the potential for any movement until 2:30pm. After the rain stopped, the sky filled with 550 Turkey Vultures. As quickly as they came, they were gone, heading to the south east. A cold front passed by just after 3 shutting down the movement. The last bird of the day was gorgeous Rough-legged Hawk that flew right over the platform just before the rain started again.
Non-raptor Observations: The morning flight of blackbirds and robins was significantly smaller than yesterday. A small flock of three Sandhill Cranes that passed by in the morning along with a few Great Blue Herons.
Predictions: Mostly sunny with a high of 47F. Winds out of the WNW at 10-20mph. There probably won't be much of a flight tomorrow given the wind direction. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Maili Waters (<mailirwaters...>) Braddock Bay information may be found at: http://www.bbrr.org/
