Weather:
Sunny to partly cloudy to mostly cloudy; 40-70 degrees; good
visibility; winds calm at first, then coming in from the ESE and
ending from the SE, 0-13 mph

Raptor Observations:
Slow but steady flight of 8 species. Local Peregrine Falcon made a
few appearances and once made a rapid descent from an impressive
height.

Non-raptor Observations:
Chipping Sparrow, also observed yesterday, for the first of the
season. Killdeer .84 turtles basking today, including Red-bellied
Cooter, Eastern Painted Turtle and Red-eared Slider.

Site Description
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake
Bay at the
mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best
winds are
from the southwest.
