We visited the northeast access at Buck Creek State Park this morning. We saw over 200 Bonaparte's Gulls, shovelers, both teal, and pintails. Some American White Pelicans remain in the area. We also saw a single Ross's Goose and a blue morph Snow Goose there. On the walk back from the lake we saw our first Brown Thrasher of the year.
At the Prairie View recreation area on the southwest corner of the lake, woodcocks are showing well at dawn and dusk.
