Like most of us. I've noticed a number of eBird Hotspots labeled "stakeout...." with rare bird listed. These are obviously temprsry designations although some rarities return for several seasons. The Scissor-tails that bred near Perry Correctional Institution in Greenville County, South Carolina come to mind. I haven't seen a report of that species there for several years, althiugh they did return for 3-4 years, nesting on a telephone pole.Steve ComptonDorchester,SCSent from my Galaxy

Thank you for this effort, Marty. More clarity on eBird hotspots is a needed thing.Steve PattersonAnderson, SC

Greetings everyone,Could someone either put me in contact with or pass along a message to the NC eBird Hotspot Editor? We closed Coastal Community Market last year and I'd like to change the Hotspot for that location to historic. It became a hotspot in 2017 when it hosted a Black-chinned Hummingbird. I don't want people to waste their time by visiting the site, which without feeders, is disappointing (and private property). Thanks,Marty WallMorehead City, NC
