Bufflehead spotted in the far distance on the water. Brush recently cleared near parking lot and train station, drastically improving visibility. High muskrat activity along the shoreline, with individuals every 20–30 meters. Flocks of Red-winged Blackbirds overhead and calling throughout. Walked to the Niskayuna Isle Bridge and back. Observed Red-tailed Hawk, Bald Eagle, Common Merganser, Hooded Merganser, Mallards, Wood Ducks, Song Sparrow, Northern Cardinals, Eastern Bluebird, and Black-capped Chickadees. Bald Eagle closed the outing, soaring from the Vischers Ferry side to the Niskayuna side.
