Audubon Society of Greater Cleveland invites you to FREE Zoom presentation of INSECTS IN THE FOREST CANOPY this Thursday, March 20 at 7:00pm. Registration is required using the link below.
Dr. Michael Cunningham-Minnick of Hiram College will present some of his fascinating research on insects, mostly bees, that inhabit the tree canopy and above! That means he had to climb trees to install insect traps, sometimes over 100' above the ground! His research is new because Entomologists in the past did most of their forest insect studies at ground level. He also found other insects up there which leads to many other questions he will share with us during his talk. While not a birder, his birder friends have him thinking about links his research might have to explain why so many nesting songbirds inhabit different strata in the forest canopy.
I hope you will join us for this most interesting presentation. The talk will be recorded if you cannot attend Thursday at 7pm. Send me an email and I will email you a link to the recording.
