Observation end time: 15:00:00
Total observation time: 7 hours

Official Counter: Jerry McWilliams

Observers:

Visitors:
Brian Berchtold, Jim Baxter, Julie Leonard.

Weather:
Clear all day with some high cirrus clouds at times. A good wind from the
south throughout the day with increasing temps.

Raptor Observations:
The flight was relatively light but steady all day with an uptick in
vultures during the final two hours of the watch. Birds stayed close to
the lake all day and were flying low until later in the day when they went
stratospheric. The hawk flight was disappointingly light. Two local
Red-tails and one local Cooper's Hawk.

Non-raptor Observations:
Canada Goose 6, Blue Jay 1, Rock Pigeon 2. Mourning Dove 1, Northern
Flicker 1, American Robin, Tree Swallow 1, Ring-billed Gull, Herring Gull,
European Starling, Red-winged Blackbird, Common Grackle. Passerine
movement was lighter than the past few days.

Predictions:
If there are still birds in the pipeline, it could be a banner day, since
the winds will continue to be gusty out of the south, with record breaking
temperatures, and some clouds for a good backdrop.
