Subject: [CT Birds] Allen's Meadow- Native Shrubs for Birds
Hello fellow birders and environmental stewards,

Most of you are familiar with Alllen's Meadow in Wilton as being one of
CT's premier birding spots. Some of you are aware of the habitat
restoration project I've been working on for the last 4-5yrs aimed at
eradicating a 3/4 acre field of Mugwort adjacent to the community gardens
and replacing it with a native pollinator meadow. That Phase 1 of the
project has been very successful (see pictures in attached link) and now
I'm fundraising through Sustainable CT for Phase 2 which is *planting c. 25
native berry-producing shrubs* around parts of the meadow's perimeter.

to
read the continuing story of this successful habitat transformation
and *consider donating
in support of this Phase 2 effort which will benefit our birds, native
pollinators, environment, and community*. Please feel free to forward this
to anyone you think may be interested in helping us help them.

With thanks,
Joe
