The Missouri Birding Society (MBS) has long-standing agreements with the Missouri Department of Conservation (CACHE) and Missouri State Parks (SPARKS). The SPARKS program includes a requirement for MBS members to bird State Parks for a minimum of 1,000 hours per year. We are well below the pace of former years in fulfilling this basic requirement. PLEASE, plan to bird in a Missouri State Park for at least an hour in April!
With the funds MBS earns participating in the CACHE/SPARKS we are able to be funding partners in many activities. (see https://mobirds.org/MBS/Conservation.aspx for the record of MBS partnership projects.
Visits to any Missouri State Park or State Historic Site by an MBS member help us fulfill our contracual commitment.
