Is there a communication system for those of us out looking for common cranes, or is e-mail best? My group is pretty gung-ho for this bird--as am I.
AMAZING FIND!!! I (and I'm sure many others) will be out looking for it tomorrow. It is very close to the bird sighted in 2023 near Phillips, I was actually perusing the map of common crane sightings today and noticed that. Interesting that it's on the north side of the river this time.

Today I spotted a Common Crane among the many Sandhill Cranes east of Grand Island. The flock it was with was originally northeast of Stolley Park and Gunbarrel Roads, but then later moved south out of sight.
I wonder if this is the same individual that was reported two years ago in Hamilton County, just across the river from here.
