Moved to different trees around the wetland, starting in the tall palm and lastly in the large euc and pines near the parking area for the Mesa Road apartments. Several series of slow chatter calls heard, but not overly vocal. Bright orange coloration at the chest, fading to gray at the sides and duller orange/yellow undertail coverts and tail. Black splotches on face and head, extending under the chin. A couple of small black patches visible on the back. Grayish-brown wings with larger white upper wingbar and white edges to coverts and flight feathers."
