Long-tailed Duck (Clangula hyemalis) (1)
- Reported Mar 17, 2025 12:06 by Tom Edell
- Anchor Memorial Park Pier, San Luis Obispo, California
- Map: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&t=p&z=13&<q...>,-120.8543779&<ll...>,-120.8543779 - Checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S219130754 - Media: 2 Photos
- Comments: "Continuing female present since mid-January. This morning it was across the harbor from the North T-Pier. The bill appeared dark through the scope but recent photos have shown it to be dark green and without the pink expected on a male. It shows mottled dark plumage along the crown and down the nape and a mostly white face with a big dark cheek patch. There was a pale grayish band across the upper chest, but otherwise the bird was white below. The back and wings were dark. Photo"
