Subject: [Ohio-birds] Denison Monday morning
Still pretty quiet (except for the frogs!) at Denison although the skunk cabbage is up.

Saw at least one YR Warbler (winter plumage)—think there were 2 that darted across the path but I only got on one.

A Field Sparrow popped up in front of me & I heard it singing shortly after. Only other sparrows were Song, White-throated & a couple Towhees calling. A few Am Goldfinches.

Heard a Red-shouldered Hawk. Couple TVs roosting with one Black Vulture. Spooked a Great Blue Heron from its stream side spot.

WPs: Downy, Hairy, Red-bellied

O/w, just cardinals, RW Blackbirds, titmice, chickadees & WB Nuthatches.
