Most likely the other frog you heard were wood frogs! They’ll be laying
eggs any time.
My amphibian list for the year now includes:
-Eastern newts
-spotted salamanders,
-green frogs (adults and tadpoles)
-bull frog tadpoles
-spring peepers
-wood frogs
