Subject: [sbcobirding] Red-throated Loon at Goleta Slough
There was a Red-throated Loon in breeding plumage at the mouth of Goleta Slough early this afternoon. Pam and I watched it chase and catch fish including eventually one rather large fish. It seemed healthy based on its behavior and there was no obvious sign of oil on its plumage.
