Weather: Today was cloudy with rain showers in the morning, stopping around 9am. A large thunderstorm moved in just before 3pm. Warm, temps in the high 60s.
Raptor Observations: The first few birds of the day were Northern Harriers moving between rain showers. Once the rain stopped, the birds picked up with nearly 200 Turkey Vultures, 10 Sharp-shinned Hawks, 11 American Kestrels. A very uncooperative Golden Eagle made a brief appearance before disappearing behind trees.
Non-raptor Observations: Many flocks of European Starlings and blackbirds were on the move, along with some American Robins. Lots of Killdeer passed by as well. The Eurasian Wigeon continues in the bay.
Predictions: Cloudy skies in the morning followed by partial clearing. temps in the mid 30s. Winds WNW at 10-20mph. I'm not expecting much to be on the move if the winds stick to NW. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Maili Waters (<mailirwaters...>) Braddock Bay information may be found at: http://www.bbrr.org/
