I went to look for the Little Blue Heron at the Santa Ana River this Morning. I found it initially, between Atlanta Ave and Hamilton Ave on the east side of the river. Fortunately, it took off and flew to the west side near Atlanta Ave (for better viewing) where it foraged and slowly moved upstream. I left it at approx 10;00 AM. It has started to get splotchy coloring transiting to the blue of its namesake. I posted a photo in the 06 Waders Album.
