Vermillion Flycatcher spotted at the junction of the Barn and Snell Trails in Joseph D. Grant County Park, by Janice and I, on Saturday, 3/15/25, 12:59PM. It was perched on small trees, dead branches of small bushes and on the fence while foraging in the open grassy field alongside Northern Flickers, Brewer's Blackbirds, Western Bluebirds and Yellow-rumped Warblers. A California Thrasher was calling from the oaks above, while a red-tailed Hawk and Turkey Vultures circled above.
Do not disclose information that identifies the location of nesting birds of any species, to minimize stress on the nesting birds and the risk of vandalism or abuse.
