Subject: [NWCALBIRD] possible noteworthy thrush in Blue Lake
At the Blue Lake cottonwoods this morning, I faintly heard some
*Catharus *subsong
that sounded suspiciously like GCTH or VEER around 40.874095, -123.995658.
I know how unlikely that would be, especially now, but it doesn't seem
impossible for one to have wintered there and be warming up its pipes.
Both species have wintered farther north, albeit not in CA.
