Weather: Cloudy with strong south wind and temps. reaching the low 60s F. Some sprinkles near the end of the watch with looming thunderstorms.
Raptor Observations: Just a few low flying TVs and not much in the way of hawks or falcons. With the strong winds, everything was pushed close to the hawk watch.
Non-raptor Observations: It was a stellar day for blackbirds and American Robin migration with the most I have season so far this season. There was a steady stream of Blackbirds (nearly all Red-wings, starlings, and grackles) all morning long with a few flocks containing a hundred or more birds with few breaks between passing flocks. Other birds recorded include Canada Goose 17, Wood Duck 2, Rock Pigeon 10. Mourning Dove 10, Killdeer 2, Ring-billed Gull 40, Double-crested Cormorant 12, Great Blue Heron 2, Red-tailed Hawk 1 local, American Crow 40, Horned Lark 2, Tree Swallow 1, Eastern Bluebird 6, American Robin at least a few hundred, Cedar Waxwing 20, Eastern Meadowlark 1, unidentified Passerine 6
