Weather:
Cloudy with strong south wind and temps. reaching the low 60s F. Some
sprinkles near the end of the watch with looming thunderstorms.

Raptor Observations:
Just a few low flying TVs and not much in the way of hawks or falcons.
With the strong winds, everything was pushed close to the hawk watch.

Non-raptor Observations:
It was a stellar day for blackbirds and American Robin migration with the
most I have season so far this season. There was a steady stream of
Blackbirds (nearly all Red-wings, starlings, and grackles) all morning long
with a few flocks containing a hundred or more birds with few breaks
between passing flocks. Other birds recorded include Canada Goose 17, Wood
Duck 2, Rock Pigeon 10. Mourning Dove 10, Killdeer 2, Ring-billed Gull 40,
Double-crested Cormorant 12, Great Blue Heron 2, Red-tailed Hawk 1 local,
American Crow 40, Horned Lark 2, Tree Swallow 1, Eastern Bluebird 6,
American Robin at least a few hundred, Cedar Waxwing 20, Eastern Meadowlark
1, unidentified Passerine 6

Predictions:
Winds still strong out of the south, but a greater chance of rain with
temps. falling through the day. A flight not likely.
