Nope, no chipmunk, although a huge woodchuck made an appearance and of course we have had red & fox squirrels all winter...
But I had a surprise tree frog appear among the overwintered houseplants in a cool room...

Other signs of Spring…Has anyone seen their first Chipmunks of the year yet? I keep waiting for ours to pop out of their burrow near the House. Last year, a female emerged and was seen with two offspring. The young ones were slightly smaller and were clearly new to the world. They slowly gained confidence in their surroundings and I was kind of hoping I’d gain their trust. Then one morning we saw their friendly “Mom” get carried off by a Hawk. Nothing seen or heard here yet this year.
